How we write and review our guides

What you can expect from our family guides, and what you should not expect from them.

Who writes these guides

Guides in this section are published under the byline “Lilly's Home Health Care Editorial Team.” That is an organizational byline, not a named individual. We do not invent staff biographies or credentials, and a guide will carry a person's name only if that person wrote or approved it.

How guides are prepared

Guides are prepared with AI-assisted research and drafting. Factual claims that matter, especially anything about Medicare, Texas rules or safety, are tied to a source listed at the bottom of the guide so you can read the original yourself. A guide that cannot be supported by a source is held back or reworded.

What these guides are not

  • They are not medical, legal or financial advice.
  • They have not been reviewed by a physician, nurse or attorney, and we do not label them as medically reviewed.
  • They are not written to diagnose or to replace instructions from your loved one's care team.

What Lilly's does and does not do

Lilly's provides non-medical support at home, such as personal care, companion care, respite care, overnight support, post-hospital help with everyday routines, household support and transportation and errands. It is not a skilled nursing or therapy service, and our guides say so when it matters.

Dates and updates

The published date is the day a guide went live. We add an “Updated” date only when we make a substantive change, such as correcting a fact or refreshing a source, not for formatting or typo fixes.

Photographs

Photos are licensed stock images used for illustration. The people shown are not Lilly's clients or caregivers. For each image we record the creator, the page where we confirmed the license, and the date we checked it.

Our relationship to what we write

This is a business website, not an independent publication. Guides link to Lilly's services where they are relevant, and each guide ends with a way to contact us. We try to make every guide useful to a family that never hires us.

Report a correction

If something in a guide is wrong or out of date, please tell us at lillyshhc@gmail.com or call (903) 269-5436. When we confirm a problem we correct the guide and add an updated date.
